Applied Behavior Analysis

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior.  ABA therapy applies our understanding of how behavior works to real situations. The goal is to increase behaviors that are helpful and decrease behaviors that are harmful or affect learning.

The individual must meet at least two of the following criteria on a continuing or intermittent basis:

Stacking Blocks

Verbal Difficulties

Non-verbal or limited functional communication and pragmatic language, unintelligible or echolalic speech, impairment in receptive and/or expressive language. 

Eating Cereal

Social Impairment

Severe impairment in social interaction/social reasoning/social reciprocity/and interpersonal relatedness. Frequent intense behavioral outbursts that are self-injurious or aggressive towards others; disruptive obsessive, repetitive, or ritualized behaviors.

Difficulty with sensory integration
